Yarn Bouquet

This past weekend, our friends Pat and Annie were in town for Annie's bridal shower. Pat and Bryan have been friends practically their whole lives, and Annie is one of the sweetest people I've ever known. I taught her how to crochet a long time ago, and now we're both addicted to knitting and yarn.
I didn't have the energy to go to the shower (in fact, I slept all through it!), but Bryan went to Pat's house Saturday night after the kids were in bed to visit with Pat and Annie and our friends Chris and Tracy. On Sunday Pat and Annie came to see us, and Annie brought me the nicest get-well gift, a yarn bouquet:

Annie used two balls of burgundy yarn and crocheted leaves to make the flowers. It's all held together with a set of straight knitting needles, then wrapped in tissue paper and tied with twine to make a bouquet. I thought this was such a cute and creative idea, I wanted to share it with everyone. Faye put it in a vase, and now it's on the counter to lift my spirits every day.

What a cute idea! That would make a really cute gift (X-mas, bday, baby) for anyone who knits!! Oh - Carrie - I have been wanting to ask you if you could make me a crocheted name thing for Braden...either Red or Blue letters. Thanks!
